Hardly imaginable-the small furry Dassie’s (Procavia capensis) are closely related to elephants and manatees. Their appearance is  very similar to the groundhog we know. The hare-sized pets love sunbathing, especially on the South African Table Mountain and they are world champions in rock climbing on smooth rock.
