Longbows

The longbow is a simple, classic bow with a long, evenly curved shape that has neither pronounced recurves (as with a recurve bow) nor any other mechanical support. The limbs are consistently straight or slightly curved and usually made from a single piece of wood. There are no significant curves or technical refinements. Longbows offer a smoother shooting feel with consistent force applied during the draw. However, they tend to be slower than other types of bows and require precise technique. Longbows are often used by traditional archers and are particularly popular in traditional archery and historical re-enactments.
